What to expect

Simplifying Therapy

  • Desk with a cup of coffee on a saucer, a pair of glasses, a tablet, a stylus, and a closed notebook in a minimalistic workspace.

    1st Session—Evaluation

I ask you to share some of your life histories. This will greatly help us in establishing a foundational framework or a blueprint to guide the process to progression throughout the course of therapy.

    Thank you in advance.

  • A brown teapot on a black textured raised platform accompanied by two white teacups with black saucers, set on a dark wooden surface against a plain white background.

    2nd Session—Reconnect and Check-in

We begin to set the tone for future conversations, by checking in and talking about recent weeks’ events and what is currently ‘on your mind’. This will assist us in creating a basic treatment goal or focal point to build on, sequentially, session after session.

  • A small white tea cup and a black ceramic teapot on a wooden table.

    3rd Session ...

Each encounter allows for an opening up, which over time, continually replenishes your inner-self. Each time we welcome your inner-self, some may say your heart, into the session, via an interpretation of a concern or perhaps a reflection on an event, we experience our inner-self differently—in the present moment, discussing the past. Over time, experiencing oneself compassionately can grow into internal security. Therapy allows for another person (therapist) to nurture that spirit too through positive reinforcement or creative elaboration. Sounds nice
